Rundbrief des USACA Präsidenten zur WM2022

I wanted to give everyone a brief update following meetings in Houston Texas this week.

Things are falling together quite nicely with a solid team moving forward.

Your considerations with container shipment has been one of our most talked about subjects. We understand the difficulty with moving containers of boats around the world. We’ve all been there. So to assist in your scheduling of the containers we added another regatta for April 2-3. Your container may arrive in time for this event and your container/boat may stay at the club until the Worlds. This will give you the opportunity to send your container well in advance of the Worlds to alleviate the anxiety of trying to precisely time it’s landing. You may have heard about the huge container delays on the West Coast of the US. The Port of Houston has experienced very few delays with container shipments.

Some of you may even want to vacation in-between the Armadillo Cup and the Admirals Cup/Pre Worlds. It’s a great time of year to tour not only Texas but the entire South Western US. I can certainly advise anyone on outstanding itineraries throughout this area. The upcoming F1 race will give you a little taste of Texas.

The final NOR approval and registration information should be available early next week.

Please do not hesitate to ask any questions or advice on your stay for the 2022 Worlds. Once we have final approval of the NOR then we’ll post more info on Acat.org. I wanted to give you as presidents information soon as I see it so you can pass it on to your national classes.

EURO 2022 im September in Arco, Gardasee

Der VDAC hat sich erfolgreich mit Italien um die Ausrichtung der EURO 2022 in Arco am Gardasee beworben!
Der CVA wird die Regatta (für Classic und Open) vom 12. bis zum 16. September 2022 ausrichten; dies ist sicherlich eine sehr gute Zeit im Hinblick auf die Wetter-/Windbedingungen und hinsichtlich der Camping- und Hotelverfügbarkeit.

Die Regatta wird auf 100 Boote begrenzt sein, daher wird es eine nationale Ausscheidung geben. Die genaue Zuteilung der Contigente auf die Verbände und Disziplinen ist noch zu entscheiden. Die Regattabahn wird östlich und weit südlich liegen, wodurch es schöne Segelbedingungen für Alle geben sollte.

A-Cat IDB Walchensee 10.-13.Juni

Nach jetzigem Stand findet die A-Cat IDB tatsächlich statt.
Der Inzidenzwert liegt zuverlässig unter 100, und der Campingplatz, auf dem die Bootsliegeplätze sind, macht am 21. Mai auf.
Es gelten strenge Corona-Sicherheitsmaßnahmen, siehe anbei die pdf, gültig bis 6. Juni.

Danach kommt die neue Vorschrift, die dann für den Regattazeitraum gilt. Geht lieber davon aus, dass die Vorschriften streng bleiben.
Besonders anzumerken ist:

  • Alle 2 Tage muss ein neuer Schnelltest unter Aufsicht gemacht werden. Am besten, es bringt jeder eine 5er Packung selbst mit. Der Vorrat im Campingplatz-Kiosk ist begrenzt.
  • Private Zusammenkünfte nur für 2 Haushalte mit maximal 5 Personen zulässig.
    Bitte beachtet dies genau. Wir stehen unter genauer Beobachtung.

Auch Hotels und Fewos sind unter Auflagen geöffnet und zumindest Außengastronomie ist möglich.

Die Spring Regatta des Circolo Vela Arco vom 30.5.-01.06. ist bestätigt und findet statt

Teilnehmer der Regatta bekommen vom Veranstalter eine Einladung / Bestätigung dass an einer Sportveranstaltung teilgenommen wird / wurde,
somit entfällt die Quarantäneplicht bei der Einreise nach Italien und der Rückkehr nach Deutschland.

Geplant ist den Regattakurs soweit wie möglich Richtung Süden zu legen, um etwas moderatere Windbedinungen für die Rennen vorzufinden.
