Cleansweep for Alex Meister in A-Class in „Pizza Open“ Regatta, Wismar, Baltic Sea
Alex convincingly won this years Pizza Open XII. edition with 6 bullets in 6 races. The sailors enjoyed the sunny and still quite warm weather with demanding wind conditions in 4 races pretty close to the upper limits – the other 2 races in around 14-16 knots. Due to increased Covid-19 constraints, quite a few sailors had to cancel their participation on short notice, however, in the end 12 A-Cats and 8 F18 made it to the startline and everybody was happy to be on the water.
In the F-18 competition Martin Friederichsen and Bjoern Wendel won a 7 race series with 4-1-3-1-2-1-1.
The nicely sheltered waters in Wismar Bay on the Baltic Sea coast proved to be the ideal location for the prevailing strong and gusty wind conditions in sunny and warm temperatures.
